any info on actual ocean PAR/PPFD readings?

was hoping to find some literature on par/ppfd tests done in "real life" reef settings. something that would give useful info of shallow reef and deep water environments. unfotunately, i havent been able to find anything.

anyone with any links or info?

Does it help if one of our members in one of our clubs dove down roughly 6ft in a swimming pool and still got a PAR rating of 600 when he gets only half as deep and gets 250 PAR

ive always been puzzled by the absolutes professed in this hobby especially when it comes to lighting without a real world basis as a standard to compare with.
