I have a 72" light that I picked up in a recent tank breakdown purchase. Its an aquamedic spacelight 72" 3x250 HQI and 4 x 24 PC. It has built in ballasts. I have seen it work with 2 of the 3 HQIs running and 2 of the 24 PC running. I am not sure if the bulbs were bad in the other slots or if it needs a little work. I may use it or I may just use my old setup, just gauging interest to help me decide.

Here are the specs:
Aquaspacelight 3 - 250 watt HQI Metal Halide with 4 - 24 watt Osram true 03 actinic power compact in a powder coated silver extruded aluminum housing. New technology with modern design. Made in Germany by Aqualine Buschke. Dimensions - 72' x 12' x 3.2' (LxWxH).
Weight: 65 Lbs.

Looks like it was around $1200 new, maybe like $400.

I'm interested....can you make sure everything works first and do you know how old the bulbs are? I need some pics to.

I am not sure of the age of the bulbs. Currently there are 3 MH and 1 of the 4 PC light bulbs. When I purchased them I saw 2 MH and 2 PC Working. I have since cleaned the unit up some and tried to rearrange bulbs to ensure all sockets were working. In doing so the white/ceramic part on the edge of one of the DE MH bulbs was so brittle it fell apart. Similar thing happened with one of the PC bulbs. I didnt mess with the other MH bulb, since it looks very brittle as well.

My intention if I keep it is to get all new bulbs and install them. I feel pretty good that everything should work properly this looks to be a pretty well designed light, and it isnt that old. I have looked around online and the new sockets for the lights are fairly cheap if those would be neccessary.

PM me your phone number if this was confusing or if you would like to chat about it.
