Any Italian SPS keepers here?

Just wanted to see if there were any Italian SPS keepers online here. I am actually in Firenze for the next 4 months so I would like to find out if there are any local stores and perhaps take a look at local reef tanks and possibly check out the Genova Aquarium.

Parlo un po d'Italiano, ma preferisco parlare Inglese. Ciao!

Try making contact in reefitalia.net

Sounds like a good idea, I'll go ahead and post over there.

I also heard there a lot of Zeo-heads over here in Italy so I'll definitely have to check that out.

I used to be Italian, I am Sicilian. I am going to Sicily next month, does that count? I guess not. :eek1:

sicily, i write from PALERMO!!!!where you from?

I'm from Brooklyn but my Grandparents are both from Sciacca Sicily. I researched on the internet and found that in about 1903, 57 of my relitives with the same last name came here from that town which is a small fishing village. In 1903 it must have been a very small town. Have you ever been there?

My grandparents are from calabria, san giovanne in fiore. I have visited them , very pretty down there but I have never been to sicily.

Ho abitato in firenze per una mese, studiare italiana all scuola di leonard da vinci.

Mia sposa e me e' vedere a italia in febbrario 2007. Vogliamo visitare positano, napoli, roma, genoa, e venizia.

Ciao!!

no, sciacca is a small town, but very pretty, i know this because my father it has supported very many medicine conventions there.

sciacca, calabria..... there are an enormous amount of Italians in America, more than how much you imagined, above all of the south of Italy!

bellissime città quelle che vuoi visitare, attenzione a non andare in strade non del centro a napoli, soprattutto di notte ;)
NON andare a SCAMPIA(a very degraded suburbia)

ho sentito queste' e male andare in strada vicino la centro a napoli? abbiamo pensato stare in positano, e vicino napoli?

in centre of napoli isn't any problem, but in suburbia...

yes, is near, se stai a positano(a paradise) e vuoi fare una escursione nello stesso giorno(dalla mattina alla sera) ok, but no more(escursione with a turistic guide ;) )

take a coffe.....da napoli in giù è buonissimo ;) i don't undestend how the american people can to drink the american coffe....is tooooooooooooo....i'm not to say:with water....troppo lungo.

abitudine......

in positano or in naples eat a pizza.....non la trovi da nessuna parte cos' buona, è unica!

I think there is a thread on RC with an amazingly huge aquarium from Italy. You may want to do a search later on to see if you can find it.

Here is Alessandro's tank thread. Also an Elos with an H&S Skimmer. :)

I took my wife to Como and Portofino last year, it was her first trip to Italy. She talks about it every day. I've spent lots of time there and I'm one of the few Americans that likes Napoli. There is no city in the world that has that kind of chaos! Crossing the street alive is a victory. I really enjoyed Capri also (Napoli/Sorrento were stops to get to Capri/Amalfi). I enjoyed Firenze but it almost felt like Disneyland since its SUCH a tourist spot. It seemed like everyone there was either a tourist or in the tourist trade. Beautiful city, though! Venice ... Rome ... Tuscany ... man I love your country!

And man its hard to drink American coffee after coming back from Italy. You can't find a bad coffee if you try, just like you can't find a bad beer in Germany. Even the coffee at the airports and train stations are made with pride. I hate you. :)
