Any livestock orders coming up soon?

I'd like to do a livegoods order... But it'll have to wait till after the honeymoon/wedding on my end... Only a couple months to go... :)

I'll be ordering as soon as my tank's ready.

I've gotta do some reading on gobies and wrasses to see which I want. May have to pick Mel's brain about this too. My new tank purchase was motivated by Dave's cube and Mel's gobies. I saw the neatest pipe fish in the nano at the Coral Reef. I forget what it was called, but they said it's one of few that do well in reef tanks.

Just wrasses in general for now. I lost a couple jumpers with my 300 so now I have a tank that prevents all jumpers.

There's a bunch of really neat small gobies.

With that small of a tank, a highfin red banded goby with a randall's shrimp would be really awesome. The shrimp stays small enough that your tank could accomodate it. Green banded gobies, red headed gobies, neon gobies (you can find these tank raised pretty easily). I am sure I could think of a few more. The clown gobies totally rock unless you are going to have sps...they aren't as hellish as people say, but I wouldn't risk it.

Definitely call me about it Don. That is such a great idea!! I love small gobies!

FWIW Mel's Gobies and Dave's nano were an inspiration for me too:)
So far I have a Yasha and Randal's pair, a lime stripe and a red head goby. All really cool fish.

I might be in for part of an order as well depending on how the timing works out.

the pipefish is a bluestripe they come form africa i like them cause they are blue and orange.. to match the gators

Live order for arrival in time for the mtg? (Friday arrival is probalby better than Saturday for me)

Up to the guy brave enough to place the order. Just because I started the thread with a $6.99 fish doesn't mean I want to coordinate. :)

I'll do it. Stipulations: Wednesday 3/14 7pm cut off. Friday delivery at my office in Alcoa, anything not picked up there by noon can pick up can pick up from my house in Powell after 6pm (golfing 1-5pm hopefully). Shipping will be pro-rated on total value of shipment. Total shipping will be $35-40 depending on value we order. Cash or check payment on delivery. Did I forget anything?

I just called Live Aquaria and they just changed their specials today (change them on Fridays) so what you see there now is what will be applicable for our order.

Pls post orders here so I dont have to try to keep up with PMs.

I may be interested Don... I work in Athens until 7pm on Friday.... where do you live at in Knoxville? Could I beg you to hold them until Saturday? Too much to ask?

Hi-fin red banded goby?

How many people are ordering? Just wondering what approx. shipping costs will be per person.

Zac, most everyone here says they are on a budget until a group order happens so there's no telling who will order how much. My part will likely be about $100. Right now, I'm thinking:
Neon Pseudochromis - Tank-Bred DEFINATE
Hi Fin Red Banded Goby DEFINATE
Scott's Fairy Wrasse (Cook Islands) - Large (maybe, I'd prefer small but this one is on "super special")
Sexy Anemone Shrimp - Tiny (would possibly need to get an Anemone)
Pistol Shrimp Snapping- (not sure about the shrimp cause it doesnt say what kind)

I plan on setting up a QT tank and can hold any fish there but I plan on playing golf again that Saturday (addictions are my lifestyle):bum:

ps, I never say I'm on a budget but I do tell my wife everything costs "five bucks". She knows different but we're 40ish professionals AND we we have separate checking accounts! Life gets better and better with age and the right spouse...

Don~ Pseudos are pretty aggressive... I have a Fridmani and it would pester my Yasha so much, it wouldn't come out... Just an FYI... I had to move the Fridmani to another tank... And Neons are supposed to be more aggressive than Fridmani's...

Thanks Randy, I was hoping (or would have asked before ordering) for selection advise. What about the Fairy wrase? I dont think it's a good idea for a fish so much bigger than the rest but it seems to be a good deal. Maybe I should wait...

I may check the personality of the psuedo anyhow because Pauline wants it and if I have to re-sell it, so be it, I dont have to fish it out of 300g. She'd be the first to say "it's a bully - get rid of it..." "Tank bred" is the only reason I considered it.

Scotts will get 5-6" or so, give or take. Pretty docile, but you might want to stick with some of the smaller fairy wrasses. Plus, they might go after those anemone shrimp as wrasses are prone to do.

Sounds good Don. I think I may pick up that Hi-Fin red banded goby. If I can get some more cash together, I may order even more. Who knows. Hate to overwhelm this tank too soon, but hard to pass up a group order and cheap shipping. ;)
