Any luck treating lymphocystis?

I've got a juvenile blueface angel in QT currently. It arrived with no issues from DD but now it's got a couple of growths and I'm fairly certain they are lymphocystis. One is a darker mass on the dorsal fin and the other is a white blob on one of the pectoral fins. I know these will eventually rupture and fall off. At that point I could move the fish into another tank, drain the current QT and set up another... I know this would not eradicate the virus but I wonder if it would help? Regardless, I will plan to keep the fish in QT until it clears fully.

Has anyone had success treating lympho? If so what did you do? I have considered removing the fish and cutting off the affected regions. That would introduce more stress to the fish, however, so I'm leaning away from this option. Thanks in advance.

I think it comes and goes on its own. Its like herpes, it appears during periods of stress. I assume it is a lysogenic virus, so you can get rid of it. Its DNA will be integrated into the host genome.

Edit; A quick search reveled this disease is caused by Lymphocystivirus. This is a virus in Iridoviridae family that is known to have high levels of host genome recombination.

Absolutely curable! I had an bicolor with it right after I got her. Excellent water quality and food. I used selcon in her food. Cleared up within a week.

+1 quality, enriched food and water quality. It took about 2 months to go away, it's a viral infection and just like with humans has to go away on its own

Thanks to all that have responded thus far. This is pretty much what I've been able to find via searches as well. My plan is to continue with the water changes but I may move it up to twice weekly. It's begun eating pellets as well so that is a bonus. Still eating nori slowly but that is only going to help as well. Eats mysis like a pig. I'll start medicating via food as part of my QT protocol (metro, kanaplex). I know that won't affect the lympho but it could help to strengthen the immune system by reducing stress associated with any other potential parasites in the gut. The lympho does appear to have stopped and may be on the downward slope. As I stated before, I'll keep the fish in QT until it no longer shows any signs. And it needs to grow quite a bit before it can go into the DT anyway.

Putting Visine on the areas with Lymph has shown positive results (via one of the disease books I own) I would use that as a last resort

Define good water quality. 0 ammonia and 0 nitrites? What about nitrates? Phosphorous? Which aspect of it needs to be good to keep lymphocytis at bay?

Not sure there is any concrete evidence to show one thing or another causing it. When I dealt with it, it was in a 220g with a Emperor angel that showed signs. The other 10 or so fish never got it. It all goes back to stress and the immune system being weak to let the virus take hold.
