any of these fish at the bay area LFS?

great to see you on here alex. i've been around, just planning my new tank setup again... too many relocations and house constructions. now its time to really get it going!

i guess times are good.


so i dropped by alameda aquatics to find out that the 2 yellowbelly tangs were gone. my search continues
 
Hey Alex Hector (tatocat) is coming tomorrow down here and we are going to the whosaler ask him maybe he can get it for you.

Hugo, I won't be going back to the bay area for a while. Fresno is two and a half hours from the bay area. :)

we'll just tellhugo to bring me up some fish since he owes me for all the nice frags ive sold him...haha.

I'm praying I don't come across a small crosshatch or saragassum trigger. My new tank isn't ready yet. :(

Alex, if I lived up in the BA, I'd ram my tank full of Hawain fish from Connies. Sometimes they get some good ones. I will pick up a yellow belly for you if I see one. My buddy gets killer overnight rates to the BA. He is an experienced shipper. LMK.

haventgone to connies in ages. i gues i gotta pay em a visit one of these weekends. i think id be content with a nice blond naso, yellow belly and a powder blue/goldrim hybrid.
i actually go to fresno once in awhile. one of my visits i dropped by that whitey's pets and picked up a decent colony. maybe when im in the area, ill drop u a pm to see whats cooking(literally in that fresno heat)..haha

BTW, we will be down Thursday. John (tubs) wanted to come down with us like Apollo 13 wanted to get back to Earth, but the timing was bad. He just got back from vacation and has some big projects at work.

Bad timing. I didn't expect Leemar to get my tank done so fast. Thursday is the day that Leemar delivers to fragfarmer. I want to get it out of Eric's shop quick. A 4' x 4' crate takes up a lot of floor space.

Anytime :) I'm usually around. My tank is a glorified holding tank right now. Whitie's does get nice corals and fish in. Connie's is the only place I know that consistently gets nice looking Hawaiian fish in at good prices.
 
so i decided to check out a couple of stores on sunday after a long morning of bowling. only checked out connie's and concepts..both really didnt have anything special or anything i was interested in. is it me or does connie's generally have sick/unhealthy fish? of the 2 times ive been there, ive only seen sick fish and dead fish that have been sitting in the tanks for some time.

I've only been there on Saturdays when a shipment arrives JOJ from Hawaii. I only look at the anthias, wrasses and salt. :)
 
maybe they didnt get a shipment this wk cuz i didnt see much. however they did have some anthias but they do not interest me anymore considering how many ive lost in the past.
