any of you guys ever had a bad new MH bulb

i just bought 2 new reeflux bulbs from hellolights, and they dont seem to want to fire. have a few month old bulb i bought off reefcentral, suppost to be the same bulb, and it fires right up.


i tried waiting 10-15, nothing.

do i need to wait longer and it just needs to heat up and fire up once then from there itll work fine?

never had this problem.

i tried both bulbs, with same results.

just curious if this is a LITTLe common.

its a ballast wise electronic one, suppost to be good for 150-175 watt bulbs.

i dont think it should matter i would think tho if it fires up a couple month old bulb but not a new one? same brand. thats just my guess atleast?
