i got a pair at least a week ago and they just side there night and day, not doing anything except peeking there eye stalkes out, there supposed to be sand stirrers and the local place i got them they were digging in the sand, anyone have an idea what they eat?? hopefully alge!
I know they are fighting conches with the long eye stalks and blackish stretchy mouth tube, but they won't move really, i'm worrying now.

mine only moves once or twice a week. 90 percent of the time it is buried in the sand. Then it will come out move around the tank eating algae and then bury itself for a few days.

They are really strange looking creatures!!

If you turn off the lights at nightt, you can often see them come out and sort of scavenge the sandbed, and at times they climb onto the side of the glass walls and act like snails. I have, many times, just stared because they are strange creatures. Plus, during the day time you can also see their eyes and what I called their vacuum hose sticking out of the sand.

I have a couple and dont see them very often. They will bury themself and use their long snout to probe around the sand for food.

I just got one, it is around 4 inches long. It moves around in the tank and when meets an obstacle like a pretty good size clam it jumps over it.

I have one. It usually buries itself for several days and then one night I will hear it banging the glass moving around. I use to pull it out of the sand to check and make sure it was still alive, now I just let it do its thing.

I got 3 2 years ago. Still see 2 of them arround cleaning glass/rock & sand. They are great guys for a CUC, hardy too!
Mine have seen 4 diffrent tanks in 2 years and are still kickin'!

mine is usually buried though sometimes he'll stay up top for a few days at a time. Almost constantly eating, just a matter of if i can spot its snout or not.
