Just my 2 cents, but I personally don't think DD is the best option, but an option none the less. They are pricey and there isn't a ton of really sweet stuff that isn't super expensive. I would check out Battle Corals or some other smaller online places where you can get better corals for better prices. I personally would rather get frags and grow them out than buy huge colonies, but to each there own.

Also my 2 cents but, battle corals sells 3/4 inch frags yea there cheaper but, there3/4 to 1 inch in size.On DD they usually are A few inches. Ive been to Rhinelander to DD 20-30 times and they have A selection of 1000's of sps plus the customer service is the best in the buisness. Again just my 2 cents.
Yeah, I just purchased from battlecorals too. The reason was because he does have some stuff that aren't common and the price is reasonable I suppose for those. He does charge a premium for common corals too unfortunately for 3/4-1 frags. His customer service has been excellent imo which is also why I went through with my purchase.

I've ordered from DD a few times. Have received very nice pieces and some that looked like hell. Called them and they replaced them no questions asked. The corals ended up pulling. Through and turned out to be beautiful(hawksin /joe the coral) they sent me about a 4" hawkins I was amazed to be honest. I've also ordered a bunch of stuff from guys on here..same thing some come in like crap and others nice. The issue is if the ones die from people on here there isn't much of a gaurentee like dd. Adam from battle corals is a good dude. He's sold some pieces to friends, I have yet to make a order with him as I will make a trip to go see him and check out his tank and have a few beers

I've bought a bitto much from DD, they seem to be one of the only ones that regularly get in Aussie SPS, but there customer service is amazing. The few pieces I've had issues with I was refunded with no hassle. They can get a little punchy on the photos, but then again so do most places. They typically have the best wild stuff around imop on par with reefmaddness back in the days.. the problem is it goes FAST and costs a bit to much, ya it sucks when a 150$ piece browns in shipping but that's a problem with buying corals online not necessarily one specific vendor.

Bad pic of a plana I got from them (mari doing really well now, I've lost a few of these in the past).
Lepchun Beard
This is a weird "thick milli" I got from them fragged it.. regrowing quickly.. holiding the silver/blue
Stag, holding it's colour well not the best pic..
Aussie Clathara (I don't think that's a correct id though). This piece if rocking the new growth is blue, the branches are red, and "plate" is yellow. With in a few weeks it's already encrusted on the rocks. Well worth the $$ I paid for it imop.
Green smooth fuzze stag I got from them. I lost the bottom part to nudis, but it's held it's PE and Colour and is regrowing strong
I can't get this piece to photograph right, I know it's brown but it's really more of a very nice chocolate with purple tips and silver polyps. One of my favorite pieces in person, the tips kind of halo if you look at it straight on.
This piece, I bought for the growth pattern.. it was brown with blue tips in the pics. I've gotten it to show the blue tips a couple times but have had a really hard time getting to to colour back up.. Grow on the other hand, it's been my best grower.. I've moved it 3-4 times and there are now pieces of it growing all over my rock work.

Here is a better pic
I also got the green efflo/soli from them.. it looks like this now.
ORA belina frag, held it's colour did well until I dipped it in revive..
Got this from DD, it's solid metallic green now. No more brown lost the blue tips, but is growing well, I'll take an updated photo.
Also got this Gem from them It was pretty cheap to

Mammothreefer thanks for the pictures, my real goal is to get some deep water or smooth skin acros. Lokani, caroliniana, rosaria etc. I would like to add some 3 to 4 inch pieces just to get some size. I really wondered how much they photoshoped their pictures and if is is worth growing out what could end up average at best acros.

Ah, speaking of that I just bought blue lokani from them. I got it today came in AMAZING.. then I dipped it.. hahaha. But I'm hoping it will return to it's former colour.
Ordering from dd plus is that they inspect and inspect
the wild stuff for pest they don't just bring them in and
then ship them off
minus would be cost I've seem sm Fiji acros there
for $200 you could usally pick thease up for way less then
$100 but you have to remeber your paying for that little

eh, email notification is worthless. I just start hitting refresh around 3:00pst if I'm in the mood, I find it often updates up to 10-15mins before the email goes out and all the good stuff is gone by the time i get the email.

Ah good to know. I'm on the east coast so it usually updates around 6pm here when i'm on my way home from work. So worthless either way lol. I've gotten a ORA Gecko Green, an Acropora Macrostoma (green overall with light blue body in new growth), an acropora hyacinthus and a pretty cool snowcone blasto. All were shipped well and have survived for a year +
