Any shooters on here??

Happy New Years! I've never been that interested in AK variants because none of the places I shoot regularly allow magnetic ammo and non magnetic east bloc calibers not cheap. But yeah. Try finding a saiga for cheap these days. SKS prices climbing too

STG-58 built by CGW on a DSA receiver, I had plan on building it my self but I didn't have the tooling and this one came up for sale. The ak-74 begun as a saiga I then did the conversion, only thing left to do is welds the holes then refinish. The FAL now has a scope it makes it a little easier for my aging eye.

Any chance you like to share your blm spot, if not its cool. I want to try Angeles to see if I can hit anything further than 200 yards with the 308 and my budget SPR AR.

Thanks Justin1386 for your offer , but wouldn't u think I would rather ask someone who has experience and the tools?! Happy new year.

Hey guys just so you know myself and Saybng are close friends lol

Anyone tinker with your toys lately?
Just found out come Febuary I'm going to Winsconsin to train up on a new artillery piece that the army is experiementing with and also the M777 if you guys don't know is a big towed howitzer 155mm should be a lot of fun except the fact it'll probably be in the negatives.

nothing about wandering the Wisconsin outdoors in Feb sounds like a lot of fun. Hope that artillery piece of yours is self propelled and climate controlled

You know I'm hopin it's self propelled as well lol that's why I love the paladin soo much it's good livin on those babies lol

Hey all, I'm not an AR guy and don't really know too much about them. I was just at Turners picking up the Henry rifle, I over hear one of the salesman talking about some "lowers" that they had just found in the warehouse. I think he said they were "Anderson lowers" and the price was 189.00..

Just thought I'd share the info

Oh yeah, He said they found about 200 of them.

Ok here it is, my first post and I guess somewhat of an introduction.

I am an a reefer from the late 90s but haven't had a tank in 10 years. Got some gear given to me by someone getting out and here I am looking to get back in, catching on on new technology and general discussion but haven't really wanted to jump into conversation yet. UNTIL the OP had to go off an mention guns, so here I am. Hello :)

Do I like to shoot? HECK YEAH!! I work part time at a rod n gun store just to get a discount on my habit. I'll tell you what those of you that have a lot of the guns you currently have are lucky you got them when you did, we hare sold of of a lot of stuff and have a waiting list so long we'll likely never be able to fill it.

I would love to go shoot with some of you some time.

I also fish, dive and play way too much poker but maybe we'll save that for another thread.

Which Henry rifle did you get? That'll definitely be a future purchase

I bought the H001 for my son (11th birthday next week) I've always wanted a Henry...I mean, he said he's always wanted a Henry rifle.

I just bought a Rossi M92 .357 a few months ago. The Henry is so much better then the Rossi. This is going to be a fun gun.

No I'm sure it's 189. Everyone is crazy right now

Waterpup welcome to the thread and RC!

Thanks Moonpod.

What's happening with our shop is we've ordered 100 Spike's Tactical lowers that are supposed to be in any day. Only we don't even know what they're charging us. Although there are stores that are gouging prices as well. We haven't gouged anything but there unscrupulous stores out there.

welcome Waterpup. I bet the spikes lowers will be a lot. It's stupid that a stripped lower that went for about $130 or so are now $300 plus. I see people asking $300 to $400 on CG for a stripped lower. Really people. Maybe I'll just buy another Glock to calm my nerves :)

Good to know. I was torn between the 2 but it's good to know the Henry is worth the extra money. What caliber did you.... oh I mean your son get?
