any super glue

ok I did a search on another site and people are using super glue to glue frags. Can I just buy any kind of super glue or is there a specific type?

thanks in advance

Use the glue by applying some to teh frag and a little bit to teh plug or paper-toweled dry rock, then kind o push the two itmes together and sitr up the glue a bit, until it gets a bit stickeier and maybe even 'whitish' and stringy, then hold the tow together for about 20 seconds, then dip them (while still holding) into salt water. This will help skin the glue over. After then holdthe frag upright and let go, it should be pretty well stuck. (no need to test it though by checkiingon it, (I know you want to, but dont)...

good luck, and lets see some pics...

I will just have to put glue on frag then attach it to LR cause my aquascaping is not coming apart for this lol

umm, good luck, cause as soon as you put the glue on the frag, then try to put it into the water to attach to a lr that is under the water, the glue will skin over, and not stick to teh live rock.

You have to paper towel the surface to be glued.

But in case you try it, and it works, let me know, so I can add that some has done it once.

I would like it to work too, as that imy problem too. I dont wna tot put them on plugs, as they get knoced over all the time...

Ive glued frags to already in water live rock pieces....just dab it on the frag, turn off all flow and push it on the rock you want underwater....It doesnt work as good as having 2 dry surfaces but it does work with the cheap super glue gel I buy from the dollar tree

acool, i will be giving ait a try tomorrow as I am tired of picking up these pieces...

Thanks.

I should have tried it on my own, but since I saw everyone else tellimg me, what I told roxy, I figured it was a lost cause...

lol.. well give me a call this weekend.. i should be in and out during the day but you only live 5 min from me so....

Glue the frag to a small piece of live rock. After it sets, use epoxy to attach the small piece of live rock to rock already in your tank.

I used crazy glue to glue all my frags, but never use epoxy thing it drives my skimmer crazyyyyyyyyyyyyy.

I am just am imagining Gabe pulling out huge pieces of rock to glue frags lmao ( yeah right)
I had some gel glue before and just dabbed on some and just attached it to the rock while underwater.

I did it. I had a coupleof smaller frags 1-3 inches, that kept getting knocked over or blown over, and I ran a couple of lines of gel on the rock it was fragged onto to, and then put in in the tank and held it in place for a minute then prayed and let go. It is still there, and will hopefully be there tomorrow and for ever as long as I choose...

Thanks for the ttip... this will be a great

Try to find or make a small hole in the rock and fill it with the super glue gel .You can even mash it into the hole with your finger tip...yes it is a mess , but after that the frag ,with glue on base sticks, very well !!
