Any word on when the Reefpack 500's will be in?

I've had one ordered for about 5 weeks now and just wondering if there is any word when the next shipment will hit the states?

I know you have been waiting, I really have no definite date. I will call Mr. Tunze tomorrow and see if I can find out.

They will make some this week. It shouldn't take more than a couple more weeks to get it in your hands.

We had several in stock but got a sudden rush of orders and sold out. The 9005 skimmer was the hold up, they had no US motors ready.

Can the Reefpack 500 be mounted with 1 or 2 magnet mounts, Roger?

It can but it needs a modification. It needs two but an attachment point for the magnet mount low on the body of the filter has to be made so the magnet doesn't cause interference with the osmolator. It is easy to do.

Thanks Roger. I don't mind waiting I just hate not knowing how long my wait will be. My bday is in a couple of weeks, maybe it will get here by then and I can tell my wife it is a bday gift to myself.

I have mine setup with magnets and has been great.

Mine is being modded for the magnets. Which ones are you using on your 75g tank?

That magnet mod looks like a great idea...
How far does it hold the Reefpack from the glass? I have a 3/4" plastic and the mag needs to be thick as that.

That's a sweet setup with the magnet mounts. While I love Tunze products, not so fond of the rail mounting system with the typical plastic rim on an American glass tank. Looks much better either in a sump set up with braceless edges or in a braceless tank like an Elos. The magnet mounts are great and glad to hear that they'll work with the Reefpack 500 with an easy mod.
