Moon's as close as it will be for the next 18 years. My first time.

It could be sharper, thought about it after I got home, but I'll go out again tomorrow and give it a shot again. It's very bright!!!

I noticed it was pretty big and bright last night. Forgot to look when I went out earlier. 'bout to head out again & check it out.

This was my first attempt at shooting the moon when I first got into photography about 3-4yrs ago. Shot using a Canon S3 IS. May try again, since I have access to better equipment now.

I shot some last night... nothing amazing, I only have a 55-250. Will share when I get a chance.
Nice shots to all BTW.

The moon was so bright even my crappy p&s could get a photo! I have to say this may be the best photo of the moon I have ever seen. :D

nice pictures and thanks for sharing ! i was fortunate enough to see it last night and it was really cool ,very low though .

Is this shot a double exposure?

No, probably not. Most Likey just had a very distant buliding and a wicked telephoto lens. Funny how optics work like that. It could be a double exposure, but it looks really clean if it was. My guess is it is the real deal.

The image is from some other site I saw and the guy said he looked for the coordinates of the moon rise and planned out the shot accordingly. A lot of planning went into it. If it was a double exposure he could have "made' that shot anytime.

I took some shots but haven't really looked at them yet. I wasn't near anything that really magnified the size so they are "just" moon shots anyway.

It looks unproportional to me, but i am no expert. I dont think it takes away from the integrity by being a multiple exposure, if it is, its still a great shot imo. I will ask my photoshop instructor on thursday to see what he thinks. I have seen some of his multiple exposure work, and it looks very "clean."
