I have some X-men's and they are not photochopped in that picture. You should be able to find it at most fish stores in the bay area for about $75 a colony with 30 plus polyps.

Don't tell the guy who just won the auction that. lol 93.00 plus 25.00 shipping for 5 polyps.

LOL! :sad1:

Maybe this is a dumb question..but is there actually any places out there that sell full rocks of these types of things..and the other frags that that guy and ultimate frags have?

Most of the places I see with full rocks of zoos are eagle eyes..then just plain zoos...nothing with all the fancy color combos...

I just can't see paying a lot for three polyps that have just been sliced off of a colony and glued to a frag disc...you never know if it will live.

YES!! they all come in from the wholesalers (from the wild) as large colonies. you just have to get to it before other places do, b/c once those stores out there get ahold of them, they will chop them up into tiny frags, and make it seem like they are aquacultured and in limited quantities, thus justifying a high price.

it was interesting when the pink elephants & lunar eclipse went big back in june. yet a LFS here on the east coast gets stuff from the same whole sale company, that alot of the big time internet places on the west coast get their stuff. and they were selling colonies of lunar eclipse/x-men, pink elephants that were 30-60 polyps for about $1/polyp.

you just gota do your homework before blowing a huge load of cash on only a couple polyps. things like purple death you know will be aquacultured, thus a justified price. dont be that impulse buyer who kicks himself the next week when they find out they could have gotten an entire colony for the same price they paid for only a couple polyps.
