Anybody know a good electrician you can recommend?

Hey everyone
Our offer on a house was accepted today and we are closing on a house in Fountain City on the 30th
Can anyone recommend a good electrician or residential electrical company. I will need to get a couple of dedicated lines run to where the 120 will go as soon as we close.

Whoa, Fountain City, Broadway... reminds me of US1 in Miami with a traffic light on every corner. But you are up on the northern side with Scott and I. I dont think we have any F.City members. Do let us know when it's time to move.

Chris, I know a good electrician/handyman out here if you can't find one around you, although I'm sure it shouldn't be a problem. He's sympathetic to the fish craziness too (he's installed several extra circuits and outlets for me and once raced out to seal up and recharge a broken chiller to save the greenhouse reef!).

At least you'll be a little closer to me than some of the others. Very true about the traffic Mel --it's pretty wild out there. My drive coming from the East into K-town is cruise control all the way...speaking of...

Cool. The friends we stay with in Knoxville live very near Fountain City. Expect to have a house crashing at least once a year.

We found a house the second day(after looking on the internet for months of course). We won't be able to use your inspector though He's out of town next week.

I assume you just need a couple lines run for your aquarium(s). I am not an electrician but I do know electrical wiring (I design and inspect industrial electrical installations). I'd be happy to give you a hand if I have the time and want to do the work yourself. I won't be available July 4th weekend, but may be available the weekend after that. I am not a contractor and can not charge for my work, but I can help out a friend if you are interested in a little DIY work with my help. Any frags you would wish to share in appreciation would be accepted, of course.

Otherwise, I'll check around and see who some friends of mine have used for their work. I've done so much of my own that I do not personally know who is good and who is not.

Unfortuanately I won't have the time or I would do it myself(I worked construction for years). It will have to be timed so that when we close someone can come in and do it while I am setting things up, or before....looks like we only have a week to move once we close :eek1:
