Anybody talked to Murph205?

thanks to all who offered , good to know there are people you never even met in your life comes knocking on your door to help ,,TJ thank you VERY much ,,, i owe you one buddy !!! hope the anemones look good in your tank , they are cool when they open up. Sorry i didnt get back to you all , i was out the door within 5 mins of seeing it leak, on my way out to Waynes place .
Wayne (cash03ins) your the best buddy ,,,thanks for the tank @ 10 at night when you were sleeping in bed !!! i knew only one person who buys as much salt as Sea World and would have a tank just laying around. your a good friend Wayne again thank you very much ..
it sucks guys , that is the worst feeling ,,i was just adding up all the money in my head in fish & corals that i just knew the cats would be playing with in a few seconds. and the smell, my god i have to pump my self up for a damn week for that smell , i was not ready for that at all. here i am driving to the west side of Cleveland in my damn "Christmas Story" PJ's at 10 at night for a fish tank , the wife was looking at me like i had Lobsters coming out of my ears .(Reef Lobsters of coarse).
Murphy's Law , im telling you its for real with me ........
off to the shower for me so i am aloud to enter my bedroom ,,

me and TJ got it all into the other tank , no skimmer going , still have to get my lights up on it , and i broke my darn heater last night , ,,i just gave up at 3 something ,, does anyone have a big heater i can borrow ?? , this water has lost 3 degs in 12 hours ,,,i have a Mag 12 i will trade for a good heater , 300 watts or more ,,, but i would settle for a loaner ,,, i was putting some rock in my sump and broke the glass on it ,,
 
Man that's scary. Sorry about your tank. You guys turn out to be cooler and cooler every day. Good job with the help guys. Is this a new tank? Is the manufacturer at fault? Is there steps to be taken to prevent something like this?
 
I have a 300w heater you can borrow. I'm pretty far away and it's really bad out, but none the same you can borrow it if you would like.
 
it was my old tank , it was made AUG 04 it says in the sticker , have no clue why it sprung a leak , but man , thats alot of work ,,,,its empty sitting in the basement . not even going to mess with it right now .. its a Oceanic tank and they are one of the good ones ,,it just went for some reason , im going to try to find a heater closer , if not i will get a hold of you ,,thanks

Man, sorry to hear about this Murph. Glad it wasn't a total loss. I know this is probably the last thing on your mind but when the dust settles, you may want to touch base with Oceanic. It looks like this tank was used with one their stands. If so, I believe it comes with a long warranty.
 
i dont have original bill of sale at all , i got it from Erie Pa from a guy who owns a Harley dealership , he had it set up in his office and wanted a bigger one ,,,, paid cash for it
 
i talked to the guy who i bought this 72 gal bow front from in Erie PA , he dose have the original receipt for the tank that blew the leak on me . and is mailing it to me this week. also talked to Greg at Best in pets , and he is a Oceanic dealer and will exchange the tank for a new one . i have to call Oceanic tell them what happened and take the tank to Greg . hope it turns out good !!! should get a new one
