And now some pics from Wimbledon....I waited in line forever, but by sheer luck ended up with a seat on the main court, at center court, row 3! I watched Saifin beat Seppi, Saifin has since moved onto the semi finals and plays Roger Federer Next:

nice pics. i love the one of big ben.
i forgot my camera when we went to sea world. kinda glad i did though, it rained a lot and i got soaked.

Nice.

I am going to start shooting some of the other items in my tank eventually. Right now I am still happy with the corals and non-moving stuff. :)

Make sure you get the lens adaptor, otherwise you have to hold the lens to the camera manually. :(

If you go further back in this thread you will see that there is a link for one.

Try page 11. I did check the link and it seemed to work fine from page 11.

Click the link on that page. See pages 9 and 10 for why you need the adaptor.

ok, just I just got one of these cameras, I am going to read through all 14 pages, there are some astounding photos, several i am calling schinanigans, they have to be from a SLR.

has anyone here used CHDK on the S5 IS? it looks very promising, but I am a bit scared of it

Looks promising indeed.

I will install and see if it is worth all of the hype. It is noted that if you do not currently use all of the features of the Canon already, CHKD is pretty much overkill.

It is loaded on the memory card so can be deleted at any time so no harm is done to the camera.

Here is a link:

CHKD

I agree on both counts.

I looked it over and it doeshave a lot of potential but again if you are just starting out some of it may seem as over kill.

I like the extra f stops.

I will post more once i get my white balance sorted out

Please let us know what you did to get it sorted out. I tried all the preset options and the auto seems to do the best job. (But then I'm using a Nikon);)

I bought a reference white balance "gray card" it is plastic, goes in your tank, and you use it to set custom WB under your lights, i will get a few shots with it this weekend
