Let me know how it works......maybe I'll pick up that one too. Do you know what the main difference between the 2 lenses is?

Boud â€"œ the 150 will give up some magnification hopefully for some more focal length.

Here are some pics I took of my own tank. It's a 45 G bowfront with PC lighting, so I generally can't get really great shots. I plan on upgrading soon...

i love the firefish and that last pic!

you obviously arent using flash on these. what shutter speed are you using?

When I'm taking pics of fish I try to get it below 1/60...ideally to 1/100 or lower, but with tank lighting that's not always possible, so a lot of times I have to go to ISO 200 (I would prefer to stay at 100) in order to get a lower shutter speed.

yeah, I have the same problem. I only have PC lighting. I'm planning a new in-wall tank soon, so I will definitely be doing Metal Halides on that.

What particular problems are you experiencing? Is it when you try to get shots of things back farther in your tank?

In general, things seem to be in focus on the LCD, then when I push half way on the shutter button, out of focus.

I've experienced that with auto focus....but not really with manual focus....except when I use my macro lens zoomed at 12X and try to focus on something tiny.

I got the 150 yesterday. My struggles with the focusing has not allowed me to properly evaluate the 150. I'm calling Canon next chance I get for help. Maybe it’s just me.

For toll-free technical support, please call 1 (800) 828-4040 during regular business hours (currently Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 midnight. EST, Saturday 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m., excluding holidays).

I will share with you what I learn. But please feel free to call yourself if you have any thing you feel you need help with.

Any luck with the focusing problem? I'm very curious to know how that 150 lens is working out.

I just got my new s5 is about half an hour ago. How do you guys post the large pictures? This camera is great and I only paid $235 brand new, so I went ahead and got the telephoto lense, wide angle lens, and a macro lens. The camera beat the lenses here so I will just try to get comfortable with the camera first then play with the lenses. I may have some questions along the way so any help you can give will be appreciated.

I upload my pictures to photobucket.com and then photobucket provides you with cut 'n paste code for bulletin board sites such as this that you can just paste into your post...and the pictures magically appear ;-)

my fish really dont like to be photographed!
my rock is kinda far away from my tank wall to use my 250, but here are a couple good ones i got recently.
