anyone been to IMAC yet?

Jamie, Anyone can buy the raffle tickets and you can choose which items you want to go for. It's a neat setup and they'll be doing the raffle at 3:00 tomorrow. I'll be there for sure!

OH! Shoot...thank god for telling me, it looks like i have to go tomorrow :) shucks...Where do i buy them?

thanks!!!

i didnt see the painted clam i better go back tommorow and pay more attention i was kind of quick in there maybe i didnt pay enough attention ill go back tommorow hopefully better deals

Here is a vote for PA and their prices - depends what you want. Some stuff is on sale, other stuff is not. Got a pump and skimmer from them and between the discount, tax savings and shipping savings (on the pump) came out $170 better than any deal online or local. That was more than enough coin to sway me (if it was only a few bucks I'd buy from an lfs).

But Jeremy was tough to get to. It was less crowded Friday when I was there I suspect. But you can be a bit rude and interrupt if he is chit-chatting. Just say you need to leave soon or something. He doesn't care if you interrupt him (politely).

Jamie, You just buy the raffle tickets at the reg desk, they are 12 tickets for $10 and you can put one ticket in each of ten raffles or whatever you choose. There are like a few 100 items to go for, so there's lots of winners!

Zoalander, :p heheheheheheh!
We'll see what you win, after I put my name on all of your tickets!
Just be nice and leave me a few nice frags......

johj26, I think you'll love the painted clam! I'd not pay that much, but would think about if if I already had my look-down from Rod....

I'll see all of you mid-afternoon!

IMO, It was cool, but I'd rather have the corner that Rod built. You get all of the benefits on a zero edge, but without the problems!

Anyone know the size/price of the co2 tank that was on the PA table?

I have a 20lb tank full but I need a 10lb'er. I tried to get to the table to buy it and couldn't but I'll head down tomorrow if someone can confirm its still there.
thanks,
Dave

to clarify can you buy raffle tickets even if you go in for ftree or do you have to buy the 50 dollor pass i thought you could only buy raffle tickets if you were registered

After re-reading the posts from the IMAC person running it....it seems you cant participate in the raffle unless you pay the 50$ registration fee...so, i dont thinki iwll be there for the raffle, adn i missed the coral workshop as i had to work this AM, Crap and more crap

That clam was unreal. I went back and looked at it at least 5 times on Sat. I was very surprised that there was so many booths not occupied, I really expected a lot more vendors.
I got a 14K Phoenix from Jeremy at Premium Aquatics and got it for 50 bucks! He was busy but very pleasant. He also had a new Vortek working on a small display that was neat. I wouldn't pay good money for it but it was cool.
I think Rod's display was a show stopper, the surge on the cube tank is great. It seemed like he was doing good business also. I wanted to buy a purple millepora (I think) from him but he had already sold it.
All in all I saw some good stuff and cool corals.

Hi, First off I apologize that we did not have more associates working the booth. Fortunately, or unfortunately (depending on how you look at it), we run on a skeleton crew to keep prices low which does not allow us to bring extra people to the shows. Yes, it can be hard to get a word in edgewise, but if you can push yourself through the crowd and speak up, I will be more than happy to help out any way that I can.

Saltyfun, I apologize that you were interested in the co2 tank setup and I wasn't able to help you with it. The retail price of that unit is $220. If you are still interested, the show price is $170 and I can ship it out to you Monday morning with arrival to you on Tuesday and no shipping charges. Please let me know if there is anything we can do to help.

Now that's what I call excellent customer service!

just got back. the painted clam at sharkys was so cool. the owner decided not to sell it. he's keeping it for himself. I bought a clam and some zoas from dirks reef and a nice refractomerter from PA for only $35 dolars. I wanted to buy the amino acids and coral vitalizer from captive oceans but it was more expensive than online!!

Yeah, Dirks was cool, they quoted the Fosters and Smith book for prices...including the sale prices! I got Ca tests (150) for 20$

anyone here win anything from the raffle?
