I have a 20 gallon long on my 75 and haven't had any problems.Just make sure to get a skimmer that will fit.I use a reef octopus diablo 225x which is a space saver skimmer.Sorry I can't post pics.
No real room for a fuge, but it would hold your skimmer, heater, and pump. They could be all in the same chamber if absolutely needful. I did a 10 gal on a 55 g, and it was squeaky tight, the only skimmer that would fit was an Urchin; but it was a good tank. I would advise, if you're tight on space, to take a look at HOB skimmers of various brands. You can also hype skimmer efficiency by carbon dosing as system matures.

I have a skimmer that fits just fine. Small foot print. I think it will have plenty of room for a Skimmer section, refugium and return section. Once i get it setup i will test it some before hooking it up to the main system. I think the skimmer likes a depth of 7-10 inches and i will make the depth 8" in the skimmer section.
Which skimmer? You know the model? - I have a refugium section i would like to use for my skimmer as i think a 'fuge that small is pointless.

Its a Skimz protein skimmer. I don't know the exact model since i got it from a friend. It's rated bigger than i need but i am ok with that. It has the pump built in the middle of it. I have a Seaside ES5 on my other tank and the foot print looks similar. That foot print is 7.28" x 7.08"", the Skimz is not much bigger. After looking at the skimz site it looks like they have changed their design some so it could be even smaller now.

My old 75 had an approximately 20g Amiracle wetdry sump. The drain and skimmer were on what would have been the bioball side of the sump and the return pump on the other side. I did have to be careful not to over fill the reservoir because drain down on shut off would come within an inch of overflowing the sump.

Yeah i got the 20 free and i am def. going to have to take out a brace to get it in. Not an issue really.
I have a 20 gallon on my 75 as well. I originally planned on having a fuge but ultimately found that it just wasn't worth it for the size it would be and opted to maximize my reserve section which I found to be critical. If I were to do it again, using the same 20 gallon long, I would make the reserve as large as possible.

I'm using the eshopps rs-100 on a 90, it's 18g water volume. Same footprint as a 75, that sump and a 5g top off reservoir is about all I can fit in the stand.

Great use of space it looks like. I am need to figure out how i am going to wire everything and if i am going to use PVC or not.

Next week my 75g will be a year old. I have an Eshopps 20g sump. A little tight as you can see but I'm able to fit the ATO, doser, UV, and reactor in there.
