Anyone ever had problems with DHL?

I had a package shipped to me and they said they delivered it to my front door, but there is no package...:(

My wife was home, so if someone would have rang the doorbell like the UPS guy does, she would have heard them.

I called them and they said they will put the shipment in dispute with the local carrier, but after looking on google I am a bit worried...

it really depends on the driver.. but the DHL guy here in LA does the same thing.. he once left my airline tickets to hawaii on the outside stairs of my house.. i was not happy about that...

They left my brand new $1500 camera lens I purchased from Dell out in the front porch. Luckily it was still there when I went home

I am in New Zealand and they delivered, or are still delivering a hard drive to me, but they sent it to Athens 10 days ago. Still waiting. Arg.

I think DHL uses all sub-contractors for deliveries. My oldest son worked for them for a while out of Riverside and they only pay a couple bucks over minimum wage so there's not much incentive. I know Fed-Ex ground drivers are subs as well but it's a lot different when you own the truck and the route.

I always prefer UPS or FedEx over DHL, even if it costs a few buck more, to ship or to receive shipping. USPS is cool, too, as long as it's not live item, because the Express service may not deliver on or before 10:30 am like the other two.

a lot of it depends on the shipper. if the company shipping the pkg does not require a signature at time of delivery the delivery driver will just leave the pkg at ur door. If you dont want it left anywhere other than your door tell them when you order the product and tell them you want it signed for when its delivered. If it doesnt require a signature the driver will not go out of his way to get one. The will just leave it
