anyone ever keep lta's under pcs?

i hear that lta's slowly waste away if kept under pc lighting, have any of you had success?

I am just getting ready to swap my lights out to Halides BUT have had my lta under 600 watts pc for 3 months and he has gone from about 5 inches to 9 inches.

I feed it every other day and it is super sticky.Looks great.


I don't know how we'll it would do for the long term.

I had my LTA under standard NO lights for about six months before I was able to upgrade my lighting to T-5's. He was a rescue from a neighbors tank and with daily feedings he grew from 4 inches up to 6 inches in about 3 months. Since upgrading to T-5's he is color is much better and he is continuing to grow.

Both my LTA and sebae were under PC's for about 4 years and looked very healthy(check gallery)
However I recently added T-5 MH combo and they look even better and really grew faster.
It can be done, but brighter light is better.
