Anyone ever use the algae mower/have one to trade?

What type?

EX: Hair algae, bryopsis, bubble algae, Derbasia.

Or is it cyano, diatoms,

Bryopsis. It's so low in my tank that I can't get it out :/

You tried raising magnesium with tech-m?

That would be my first step for getting rid of bryopsis.

i have some crazy hair algae in my tank lately. Think i'll try that dino-x i got recently on it. Stuff is so think and moss like i am not even sure if its hair algae.

Interesting, I've never heard of Dino-X and the more I read about it the better it sounds. I've had a few patches of hair algae pop up in the past month or two, Byopsis I think. Reviews say this stuff kicks it's butt and doesn't harm sps. Please let us know how it works out for you!

There's also another product called Fauna Marin AlgaeX

Supposed to have really good reviews and results against:

Hair Algae
Bryopsis
Dinoflaggelates.

Dino-X = Fauna Marine Alagea X its the same product. Think they renamed it.

Still would like to get my hands on one of these. You know. For science.

Just bought one from Premium Aquatics. It was on sale for 49$. It isn't all that well made but it does work when applied to the base of the algae , stripping it off the rock and leaving bare rock. It looks and acts like a mini drill. It sends more algae flying around the tank then sucking into the receptacle but you do get the satisfaction of seeing a clean rock. I sure wouldn't use it on aptasia. Would probably spread them like wildfire
