Nothing on growth rate but just found some stuff saying that they are hardy, adaptive to almost all light conditions. Do best in gentle currents for full polyp extension. good to feed a fleshy marine food for maximal growth.
I got a duncanopsammia about a year ago. It began as about 5 headed and has grown to be about 40 heads across. I feed mine mysis shrimp once or twice a week. I keep it in moderate current and under a 250 watt 10K HQI. They seem to be very hardy and tolerant of adversities. Gook luck.
Mark
eats the same meaty treats as my other lps, does well under my 25ow mh's, is as hardy as a frogspawn. he's been fully open since the day i put it in the tank
Interesting specimen. I have never seen one quite that green or with tentacles quite that short. Most I have seen have had very long tentacles with a brownish green tint.
