Anyone from Latrobe area?

My other post got deleted with the upgrade. Anyhow, I am probably moving from Kentucky to Pa due to changing jobs. I came up last Friday for the interview and the area seemed really nice. Much more urbanized than what I had originally thought. I figured it would be cows and cornfields. Anyhow, still looking for fellow RC'ers near this area for feedback about the area - where to live, schools, fish stores, etc.

Elmer's Aquarium in Monroeville would be closest for you. I guess it depends on what you're looking for as far as living arrangements are concerned, but if I was to commute to Latrobe, I'd be wanting to live in the Murrysville/Delmont/north Greensburg area. That would give you easy access to route 22 which is good for going to a lot of commercial and sub-urban areas.

yes, this is the type of info I was looking for cloaker. Thanks. I saw elmer's aquarium in the phone book, sounds like a big place. Do they have a nice variety?

Good for fish. Decent coral selection, but really a pretty standard selection IMO. They have 2 90 gallon surfline coral tanks, and a big 180 coral tank. You can find some nice zoas/palys there (like I said nothing rare). SPS is fairly limited, but they do have some nice SPS in there from time to time. LPS is limited as well...never seen Acans or Chalices, just your standard bubble, hammer, and frogspawn type LPS. I've been impressed with their clam selection recently. They have a nice rewards program where you get 3% back once a year in the form of a gift card, and that's in addition to the 10% we get back for being members of our marine club.

cloakerpoked..OH MAN!! If i`d have known members get an additionall 10% i`d have joined already. I received $50 just from there 3% LOL Hey JMCCOWN, I grew up in Murrysville, it`s a very nice community. I would definetly tell you to look there for a house.
