Anyone have any idea of what type of algae this is?

Start blowing out your rock work, pull out manualy and add a half dozen Mexican turbos, must be true mexican turbos. A toothbrush is a good tool to use to pul it out the stuff.
Good luck

Chicago fish and coral just got a shipment in with sea hares.. 19 bucks.. they will take care of your issues.

If the recommendations for true mexican turbos or foxface don't do it (I'd pull some manually as well), do a search for treating bryopsis with elevated magnesium, specifically Kent's Tech M, it has worked for me. Might also try a long spine urchin, though they can be annoying to coral since they kind of rasp indiscriminately...

That's true if it is in fact bryopsis. I've used this method and it works. Bryopsis will be feathery at the end, you can google image search it to diagnose. If its plain old hair algae, I'd stick with pulling it, turbos, and finding a way to get better water for top offs and changes.

It looks like hair algae to me and the way it's blooming on the rocks mean the rocks are leaching the fuel, A small couple hundred gph power head held right up to the rocks into holes even if possible. You should have a white out from the silt but the corals will love it. Then a water change to remove as much as possible. So harvest as much as you can then the power wash then a water change, repeat until it's gone or under control, good luck.
