Anyone have info on Paracirrhites xanthus?

Deep water fish, ambush predator for small fish and inverts, coral safe. Rare.

Don't they stay small though? Like are they going to eat cardinals? I have an opportunity to get a hold of one for what I consider pretty reasonable, but there isn't any info or price idea. So maybe not so reasonable.

About four inches. Cardinals other than Apogon parvulus should be fine, shrimp definitely not fine. Like Cirrhitichthys aureus, they are a serial hermaphrodites. Neither Cirrhitichthys aureus or paracirrhites xanthus is inexpensive with most going to the Japanese market.

The one I know of isn't old town. It's proreefcorals . com

The one I am considering getting is in WI though.

Well, the yellow color is pretty, and unusual in this type fish. Let us know if you get it and pictures would be welcome. I think there is a utube video around somewhere.
