ive been trying to find pics of these for a while and the only pics i can find are of the inside of the shell after the clam has died. id like to be able to identify these things before it reaches that point. i got a gigas the other day thats about 14 inches or so long and was covered in algae and had an orange area on one part of the shell. i scrubbed both of them, but the orange wouldnt come off and im trying to figure out if i need to formalin the orange stuff
