I've seen this stuff in the LFS a few times and ive seen some really cool looking varieties. can someone give me some more specific insight on this stuff as far as how sensitivie it is, etc.. ALSO, post some pics if you've got em! Thanks!

easy......
its actually hardy IMO....
it just doesnt do well with people who feel the need to skim the heck out of there tank, hence they starves.

anyway, i got one for free because it was almost dead ( a big penis looking skeleton of the alveopora) but it WAS free, so i said what the heck......

it looked like this

and about a month ago....
blurigoni.jpg

its under a 250 MH and 4 t-5 lights....but its at the bottom, with mild flow, a korliea 2 on the other side of the 75 gallon....
no direct feedings (i try to feed everyhting i can with shrimps krill ect)
just add coralife reef gumbo.....

btw its really really neon green now , at least its fingers are....

dont get crazy with the skimming and it will have enough food.
ps nitrates in my 75 routinely hit >10-20

the problem people have with owning them is that they are usually serious about reefing, so they skim......when you skim you throw the baby out with the bathwater for lps........(just my newbie insight). they have "okay" prey capture ability from what i have read so a heavy feed tank is the way i saw to help em out. actually montipora is in my tank and is also doing fine (growing over the rock it is on)
i also have a red and "jewel green" gonipora and they are also doing fine......
