Anyone know where to get reefsafe white sand for cheap?

I know I can get aragonite sand at LFSs, but I would like something cheaper then the standard 1 dollar a lb. Does anyone know of any local hardware store or other retailer that sells southdown or any other commonly used white sand?

Im in san francisco, but am willing to drive anywhere in the bay area.

no place sells southdown cheap.... no commericial stores sell southdown at all.
