Anyone remember the tank......

It was a few years ago, but the aquascape was unmistakeable.

There was a curving PVC skeleton with LR on it that created large arms. They looked like half arches. One of the sickest aquascapes I've ever seen.

Perhaps I'm not describing it the best, but maybe someone knows which tank I'm refering to.....I'll keep lookin....

thanks

That's it Fiziks!!! Glad you could help with my cryptic description!

Gotta figure out how he made those PVC skeletons and attached rock to it....such that it can stand!!!

Many thanks!

Its not all free standing. When he made the tank, he attached tabs to the bottom and sides to hold up the framework. To do this, you need to have a darn good idea of what you want to do before its done...haha hope that makes sense! Its all in the threads...start reading, its a good one!

if i ever do another tank i def. think i will be doing that! ! ! or do that rocks attacked to the back of the fish tank......maybe a 72 gallon bow front ???? that would be decent

Yeah I saw how he constructed the tabs right from the get go. His longterm vision is incredible. Who'd have that much patience???

Anyway, I'm helping a friend set up a display at his new LFS and he wants something off the charts. That tank definitely qualifies. I was thinking with the RR overflow, we could drill a support tab into it, much like his custom tabs.

It all looks good on paper though. Putting it together is a whole other story.

Ooo, I hadnt though of using spaflex for some of it.

Im planning to do something similar using dry rock, agro-crete and foam for my next tank.

I cant wait, just a few more weeks and I can get started.
