Im curious if running Ozone will benefit my system enough to justify the cost. Thinking of the Redsea Aquazone 50mg/hr.

Although I'd like to hear from experinced users of Ozone.

I do run an ATI BM 250 on about 200g system, so that should be able to work with an ozonator.

Im looking to reduce Nitrates, eliminate cyno outbreak, along with another nussance algae i cant name)

I due run chaeto, however cyno always covers the edges of it.

I only have 5 fish (blue tang, maroon clown, coris & Mccosker wrasse, blue line psuedo)

Well, here's my .02.

I've run a 220mg (adjustable) unit for 2 years and it didn't "fix" my cyano or other algae. Only getting your nutrients down will do that.

RHF wrote article(s) on ozone use in RK mag. If you haven't read them, you really should. He covers use and safety issues.

Ultimately, I decided to use ozone, but never really saw any benefit from it other than "clearer" water. So, I decided to stop using it and really focus on nutrient reduction. Now, after months/years of dealing with cyano off and on, it's going away (maybe only temporarily, we'll see).

From my experience, I'd spend the money elsewhere. You should also search for that particular brand of ozonizer and check reliability. Just sayin'.

Anyway, HTH

Refer96 do you know if the ATI is ozone safe? Just wondering if you had checked that, as I'm considering ozone with one as well
