Anyone try AuraLed?

I didnt get the dimmers, probably should have. I cheaped out. I will try to get the individual colors tomorrow. I really like the brightness of the light, the only thing I dont like about it so far is the wires are hanging all over the place. 3 power cords on each side is kind of a P.I.A but if that is the only problem I can live with that.

lol i saw a youtube video of one of the sellers of aura led and it looks like garbage. he "modded" his nano tank hood by attaching a bunch of the units underneath and it looked horrible.

Does it really matter what it looked like? Its just a product demo. its not like of you did it yourself you would be forced to do it like he did. this thread is looking for peoples experiences who own the leds.

Thanx. I am pleased with the brightness of the lights. Still working on the single color shots. The battery on my camera died and I cant find the charger. When I find it I will post the shots. Also, I am picking up 150 more pounds of live rock right now. Just wanted to check the thread before I left.

how long is your tank/fixture bubba? 48"? Looks really similar to my 120 gallon. I'm gonna have to hang mine from above as I have some extra pvc routed over the rear of my tank that I can valve on/off for extra flow as needed.

I just ordered a 58"x22" 120w fixture from Auraled Wednesday. Their email response was a bit spotty, as mentioned above, but whenever I called I got right through to Rob and he was more than happy to talk to me. They seem very accommodating. I have two 3" wide center braces so they are accounting for that in the LED layout. He also spent a lot of time with me on the finish, which I want to match the black granite pattern of the Formica counter top that the tank sits on. I did not purchase the fixture with any dimmers. I plan to add those myself. Can't wait to see it. Maybe late next week. I'll post again when I get it installed and provide some pictures then.

Yeah, it definitely makes the light look more natural. Its amazing how bright the red is by itself, and that it doesnt show up so much with the blue and whites on.

For all the haters you might want to be sitting down so you dont kick your own butt.

This is about 45 watts Auraled in place of two 96 watt compacts.

Notice the last 10 seconds of the clip you will see that the right hand side has the South Carolina Sun on a 87 degree day---these are bright!
