They are DE look at the pic of the hood showing the underside of the fixture.

You may be right Dave, I guess you really can't tell from the picture. Before buying then, I'd certainly confirm if they are SE or DE, and if DE, that the glass is UV.

I suppose you don't have to worry too much about non-UV glass on these, though, since they'll break on day 31 anyway.

I would go 3x24" it will give you a little more light and prevent the braces from creating too much shadow.

They are DE. I can see the DE bulb in there. Mabey because I know what to look for from looking at my 250 sitting on the floor next to me. BTW all float glass blocks UV. It's not some special process or mix of ingredients to make it block the UV from the bulb. As for build quality I couldn't tell you I havn't seen one first hand.

My light fixture from them came with 55w bulbs, but my 65w Hellolight bulbs work great. They are actually sold as 55w/65w bulbs. So, I think they would be interchangeable.

I wouldn't buy this stuff simply because they only warrant it for 30 days, which according to their policies page, starts on the day they print the packing slip, which means you really get about 20 days after you get the stuff.

Twenty days isn't long enough for most of us to even get the thing installed, let alone have the bugs shaken out.

This is just the cheapest Chinese stuff available. If it were any good, they'd warrant it for a year.

If you are that concerned about that you can buy the 6 month one.

alright.......so who's got the mh systems?????48" 2x150 w t5 actinics for 329???? If no one else has it maybe i'll be the guinea pig!!

Go ahead and be the guinea pig... I'd like to know for the future if they are any good or not. :) I just don't have an extra $329 laying to be a guinea pig. lol

Wife just bought these for me. Should be here in a week or so. Will definitely be an upgrade over my current NO bulbs.

I also have a Jebo 2003 skimmer. It's not an ER or ASM, but it does skim.

They are DE, I saw them in person and asked the store owner.

I got their new address by calling them after I ended up at the old address that yahoo yellow pages gave me.

You are going to be really happy with this system. Wait till you see the ballast, you will not think its cheap and that its going to break in a year. Its electronic and has digital timer control.

ok, lets end this! everyone give me $1 and I will buy it lol(jk), my friend bought the x4 55W 48'' thing... looks good to me... and he likes it (the acinic bulbs arnt real, I think they just have a blue coat or somthing, looks like a weird blue) anyways it still looks good...

reelfreak we have like the exact same tank. -the lps and sps . Ill see if i can get the money to become a pig also =::

apparently the mh system won't be out till end of month....but I think I am going to be getting it........I have a 55long now and a 125 in the making....the 55 will be traded out for a 90 soon and the 48" fixture will work for it also!!!

I was at their store last month and was really impressed by the quality of the 48" MH fixture. I will be purchasing their 24" MH fixture when it becomes available.

I ordered the 48" MH light today and they said I should receive it in about 6 business days.I was actually impressed because within thirty minutes of placing the order, a woman called me to let me know when it would be shipping out and when I could expect to receive it. She said I'd be getting tracking numbers via email once the product ships.

I also ordered the 24" compact fluorescent 110W for my refugium.
