Anyone using these lights?

I finally had to file a complaint with Paypal and was refunded my money. Just very poor customer service, after almost a month after placing my order and numerious emails and phone calls to aquatraders they finally told me my fixture was shipped and gave me a tracking number, but the tracking status never change from "only billing information received" item has not been picked up. The girl at aquatraders who always answers the phone just has no clue at all. She told me over and over that my item was shipped and UPS was wrong. Also have you noticed their website has been down for three days now. Good luck to all who have ordered, the price is right and most who have received their items seem to like them...

search ebay for the seller aquadeal he has some of these models I been buying from them for years now with never a problem

I do not understand this but my two MH bulbs are now putting out different colors of light again. The left is more blue while the right is more white. They have been putting out identical color for almost two weeks now. Grrrrr!

IME, I have found this to be the case with most MH bulbs. I am currently firing two 250 watt XM 20000K bulbs. One looks more white and one looks more blue. I had the same issue with Hamilton 14000K bulbs and with Coral View 10000K bulbs. I have also experienced this with magnetic ballasts as well as Ice Cap electronic ballasts. It must just be an inherent property of MH bulbs.

Just received my Phoenix 150W 14K bulb and installed it. Compared to the stock Odyssea 20K bulb, this one is more blue and the light seems more warm. The Odyssea bulb outputs a very bright white light which is good I guess for those with more powerful actinics. I am currently stress testing the light (not over the tank) to see if the ballast can handle this bulb. So far so good.

Ebisan, at some point in the near future I would appreciate it a lot if you can look inside the ballast box and see what type ballasts are in it. :)

I opened up my ballast and took a pic of it.

So I have a:
175W
Pulse start: ANSI: M137, core, capacitor, ignitor

Now I'm a little worried. There are no 175W DE bulbs. Am I overdriving the Phoenix 150W bulb? It fires up fine. And the ballast doesn't get hot. This sucks. I wonder what the Odyssea bulb is rated for.

ok i got my lights!!!! finally!!!! ok i can't figure out how to get the wrappin off the light bulbs.. (theres alot) i don't see a openin to open it. can anyone help?

no wonder why this product is cheap....175 watt magnetic mogul ballast using a 150 watt de bulb...Nice unit nonetheless...just needs alittle correction...

nevermind i figured it out.. had a lil blonde moment.. ok.. the lights were packaged real good.. nothing was broke.. everything seems to work and looks real nice!!
