Hey Guys,

I want to order some Live Black Worms next week.

The more you order the cheaper they get. I would like to get a 1/2 pound for myself. But am happy to order a couple of pounds if anyone wants to share. 1/4lb will be 10-$15 depending how much we order.

Pickup in Encino or Van Nuys. I will front the purchase, pay when you pick up.

If you haven't fed Live black worms before your fish will love it. It's probably one of the most nutritious foods you can feed your fish. Your fish will fatten up, and if you have clowns, bangais, mandarins or angels this will get them in the mood to spawn.

With the right container I got my last order to last almost 3 weeks in the fridge without going foul. You just have to get the wife's permission to put worms in the fridge.

If you are interested let me know.....

And as always with me, when you pickup your worms I can give you some xenia as well :)

I just split a portion with Garrick but if I can get in on a small portion to add to it Dave that'd be great! The fish go nuts and it's the butterfly's favorite food.

Im interested. let me know how much they would be. will all fish eat them? cause i only have like 10 fish so i don't want to get a ton and end up with dead worms lol.

JaihWill - I'm going to order from Aquaticfoods.com

Cobydan - won't know the costs till we know how much we are going to order - Price drops substantially with the more lbs ordered because the bulk of the cost is the Fedex.

Okay - Everyone that wants some tell me how much you want. 1/4lb, 1/3lb, 1/2lb

I have a digital scale so measuring out the portions isn't an issue.

1/4 for me. everything will eat it? and i can keep them in my fridge? or what do i do with them? i have never fed live black worms

Cobydan & Tedinator - The Worm Keeper is $10.95. I would recommend getting one. In the past I just kept the worms in a bowl of water and they last maybe up to a week with daily water changes.

The keeper is a bowl within a bowl, and the top bowl has a screen, so the worms are kept wet but not submerged. Changing the water every other day I got the worms to last 3 weeks. Each worm keeper holds 6oz.

Let me know if you want me to add them to the order. I will hopefully order later tonight if I hear back from you guys.

so how much would it be total for the Keeper and the worms? and what kind of water do we use. Ive never fed live just frozen and dry.

Dave, I texted you too. You got me down for keeper and 1/4lb?

Dave, this is very interesting, I did not know that you could feed Live Black worms. Have you ever tried feeding Freeze dried black worms? I have been feeding FDBW to my discus for many years now and they go absolutely crazy for them. I feed it off a feeder cone. I started them early, check it out:

The person I get them from happens to be the owner of the Discus forum I moderate for. He adds other stuff like vitamins and natural red enhancers.

Just a thought maybe?

Best part? Feeding from the cone is not messy at all. Super clean food fed via cone.

Please add the Worm Keeper to my order. Thanks!

Hey guys,

There is a worm shortage so not enough worms to ship.

Hello
We regret to let you know that due to lack of Blackworm production caused by
lack of water and our harsh weather we have suspended Blackworm sales and shipping
for at least the next 3-4 weeks. We will keep your email and let you know ASAP when Live Blackworms are available. We must give our ponds a rest and allow reproduction to start and bring us to a level of being able to ship. It will be a tough 3-4 weeks or longer.

In a month we can try again :(

That sucks. Never have heard of Dan running out of LBW's. It must be really bad :(.

Try FDBW in the meantime :)
