I've got 4 hitchhiker black urchins from when I bought Liverock from Tampa Bay Saltwater. They've grown to about 3 inches in diameter and are different from their long-spined cousins, as I'm told they top out at about 4 inch maximum. They are super active and roam the tank all day long and are certainly one of the critters that non-hobbyists flock too. Everyone loves them... except me. I don't know which one it is, or if it's all of them, but they're munching on coral now. They do such a fine job of keeping the rock clean I'm wondering if having 4 in my system is too many and they're getting hungry. So, FREE to good FOWLR home! If you're interested let me know and I can begin the process of collecting them. You have to wait until they're crawling across the sand to scoop them up, otherwise you risk injuring them by trying to pry them off a rock. They are exceptionally strong!
