Apex Display Module Screen Overlap -- Fix?

They Got My Number
From time to time (usually at least once a day), I notice that the display module on my Apex has some screen overlap at the top. Is there a software fix for this? According to my classic dashboard the software revision on the display module is 010(OK).

Other items on the aquabus system are EB8 (x1) and main Apex unit.

You could use the right or left arrow key one way and back the other way to see if this clears the display.

Unplug the display and plug it back in.

Note: This might be just a temporary fix for the issue or it might correct it completely.

Unfortunately neither of those worked as a long term solution. I have also rebooted the system several times and the issue reappears each time.

Bummer, You could update the module even though it shows ok, or delete and reinstall the display module.

How does the AquaBus plug look like, any signs of damage or corrosion.

If you have another friend with an apex you could try to plug it in and see if it happens on his/hers Apex.

You might need to send it in to Neptune to Neptune to diagnosis it further.

Yeah, I actually tried the update yesterday and the screen went blank and then back to normal. I woke up this morning and it was overlapped again. No signs of physical damage to any part of the system. I suppose I could try deleting and re-installing the module. I'll keep you all posted.

Just deleted the module and when it reappeared, the issue was still present. It is an intermittent issue, and really doesn't bother me, but I would like to get it solved anyway.

Thanks for the very helpful response . I do use the fusion dashboard 99% of the time, but I like having a display for quick temp reference.

Have you tried to open a ticket with Neptune ???

You need to go into the classic dashboard to display config. There you can enable or disable lines.

Thanks, but it's not an issue with lines being enabled/disabled. I have tried that as well, doesn't help. After a while the issue returns.

Through the EB8. I guess I will change that over to the Apex unit today and see what happens.

Well, moving the display module to the main unit instead of the EB8 didn't fix the problem. I guess I'll move forward with a service ticket with Neptune. Kind of wish they would have responded to this thread (or the tread on their home forum) while taking the time to post about using a third party display for their hardware, but it is what it is.

I opened the ticket with Apex as I was having the same issue and this is what they asked me to do is to go to the display unit , under system to do update bootloader twice. it seems it is working

I've updated the firmware to the latest version, updated the bootloader twice and of course tried resets, disconnecting the display, etc.

I'm gong to try and plug the display into a friend's Apex to see if the issue is with the display or head unit.

Anyway, time for more investigation.

any updates on this ? it seems that the problem only comes out when you only use 1 line . the problem seems that it does not surface when using 2 lines of display
