Apex Firmware Release Candidate Beta 4.20 CA12 Now Available

Hey camera model and brand is irrelevant and does not have the right address everything goes through the video surveillance server Which is then hardwired to each camera however in the server software for the video system you can Browse To an internal website on the server on each camera which will redirect back to individual Camera.
So in other words I'm trying to insert a link from the video server that will be passed through the firewall and router Into the apex server

Geez now I can't even get the stupid forums to work properly basically there are no unique IP addresses for each camera everything is hardwired into the video server and can be linked back to an internal web address or URL from there

No - you have the right URL. Have you tried with more than one browser?

No Russ, have not tried other browsers. I am not willing to do that. I am running IE9 on a Vista machine. I wonder if maybe I have a setting in IE that needs changing? It looks as if another person was having the same problem with that syntax but a different camera. It was the entry by Bradam in your list of compatible cameras on Reeftronics.
Is it possible I have a setting wrong in the Linksys setup for the camera? I am open to any suggestions other than another browser. I would think that it would work with the most popular browser in use. Maybe not.

Now I know why you asked about another browser. I have been reading that IE does not support img/video.mjpeg without using Active X or another third party. I am not computer savy enough to do this, so I will settle for just a picture at this time. If anybody knows a work around, please let me know.

I've updated the firmware and web pages and everything seems to work except I'm not getting the real time graphing on any of the probes. How long does it take to catch and start logging that? The new firmware has been running for a couple of hours now.

New Problem - The temperature correction function on the PM2 is backwards. If you enter a positive number, like 2.2, the corrected value varies wildly with temperature changes. If you enter a negative number. like -2.2, the temperature correction works correctly (the same as it did with previous firmware).

With a positive number, I was seeing Salinity readings varying 1.2 with a .6 change in temp. With a negative number, the variation is around .2 with a .6 change in temp.

Using Chrome or Firefox is the work around. Do yourself a favor and dump IE and use a different browser. All the main browsers are more secure and I'll bet you'll find you don't need to be more computer savvy. While better now then in the past, IE wants to do things it's own special way and tends to not conform to simple standardized code. (As exampled above by your findings) In today's world of mobile devices, Macs, and multiple browsers, we will see more and more programmers not conforming to the IE needs as they once did so you may as well join the future :)

I think you might be right Johnny. In one of my posts, I was getting down on the new firmware a little by whining that the stream doesn't work with IE, and you would think that it would be compatible with the most popular browser being used. I now think (as you have pointed out), how could the most popular browser not be compatible with one of the basic codes for streaming?
I guess I am such a die hard, changing the browser to just get streaming video for my tank.............

After you updated the firmware, did you update the webpage section next? Both must be done then clear the cache.

Okay i've been on this latest firmware for the last couple of days now and I'm having trouble getting the real time graphing to display on the probes in different browsers.

I'm using the latest version of Chrome and everything works fine except for the graphing. The graph part of the probes box is just empty. Doesn't show in IE either.

The only time I have seen it is when I pull the Apex page up with the ipad's Safari browser or with one of the alternate browsers I have on the iPad. In fact, the chrome version of the ipad browser showed it I believe.

Anyhow have this kind of problem? Not being able to see graphs in various browsers? Please help.
