Apex Firmware Update - 4.05 Beta

I initialized everything and started again. I am wondering if it is an naming convention issue. I have renamed everything so nothing is the same for the first 5 places I have not gone beyond 12 profiles. I will try that tomorrow.

Not to rub it in but I have a WIN WIN here.

So far I have not found a bug besides the switch 6 and everything is running great. I like the updates so far.

One question, after each firmware update do I need to calibrate the pH probe again?

In order to get this functionality you must update the VDM module, then in setup, module you need to select the VDM and change the type to SOL.

hmmm guess I am confused here. After updating the module shouldn't the apex have created another virtual outlet for the royal blues or am I missing something here? I still only show the whites/blues not whites/blues/royal blues

No. Calibrations are not impacted by firmware updates.

I finally have it working well. Curt responded this was one of the problems " Did you restore a saved
configuration (profiles) which was saved from a previous version (<4.04)?
An old saved version of the configuration does not have profiles 16 to 32 in
it. After the profiles are restore from this old version the controller
will need to be rebooted so that the profiles 16 to 32 are create with
default info. They will then need to be programmed.

last thing ken left unsaid was that you need to restart the apex. the new outlet for the third LED should appear

You need to go to the module set up and select sol blue as AI unit as well I believe?

Scratch my previous post, figured it out. Thanks Curt, the 2 things I was really hoping for in the next update;
Separate control of the blues & more profiles!!

Feature request if your watching this thread:
A "sync" type feature for the weather profiles, maybe a checkbox or something? Reason being is because I have my whites and blues on different intensities but during the day they both call on weather profiles. It would be nice if they could dim together. Make sense?

Clear your browser's cache/temporary internet files and try again. Or use a different browser than you normally use. The downloaded file should be apex_4.05_3C11.zip.

wow. it was the browser. using ie9 and no matter what i did, it returned B11. used safari and it got C11

Anyone having problems with Firefox 4? Not sure if it is the new beta or firefox 4. Sometimes it works fine, other times nothing will load.

Just updated from 4.05_3B11 to the 4.05_3C11.

After the update my 16th profile was reset back to default. This also happened when I upgraded to 4.05_3B11, but assumed that it was related to expanding the profiles to 32.

Also, another quirk that I have seen during controller reboots. Temp and ph that are attached to PM1 update very quickly. Temp and PH attached to the apex base take about 30-45 seconds to start updating.

Anyone having problems with Firefox 4? Not sure if it is the new beta or firefox 4. Sometimes it works fine, other times nothing will load.

Apex has always done that for me since day one, regardless of version. Same thing happens occasionally in Safari. I don't even have ie installed (thank goodness), so can't comment there. About half the time I enter credentials and the page just sits there. A refresh typically pulls it up immediately.

Apex doesn't play nice in Firefox for me either. Always been that way.

OK I am missing something simple obviously. I updloaded the firware and webpages. Rebooted the controller to get the 32 profiles. Re-created profile 16. But I can't get the firmware to update the VDM. I get to the "Update will start in 10 Seconds" message and nothing.

Thoughts?
