Apex Programming Problems in Web Browser

The portable is running Vista Home edition and Norton
The desktop is running Vista Home edition and McAfee

I did not realize that the router reverses the pair but it makes sense now that I think about it.

I am waiting for my Linksys bridge to be delivered to put next to the aquarium or on the canopy.

McAfee is known to not 'really' disable correctly and block outbound connections and Norton, depending on how it is configured can also block the uploader from working.

Try rebooting Windows and just after the preamble (before the Windows screen, then the screen is black) press F8 (you should get a menu). From the menu select "Safe mode with networking"; once windows boots try the uploader.

NOTE: When in safe mode do NOT get email nor browse the internet; safe mode boots Windows with no antivirus or other programs that might cause the uploader to fail; just a basic Windows environment.

As of yesterday the firmware uploaded perfectly and I can access the controller through my browser by typing apex. So I am good. Long term I will be using the desktop through the wireless router talking to bridge which is connected to the controller.

Just remember when you go to do a firmware update bypass the wireless bridge.

Yes I connected the router directly to the APEX controller with a cat5 cable when I did the firmware update.
