Apex users - is 12.9 amp's alot

So i go everything hooked up into my Apex and the largest spike I have seen for amp's is 12.9 is that a lot for a 150 gallon tank running 10 t-5's and a chiller keeping the tank around 78-79.

Your total sounds about right. I think the chiller is your big amp draw. When I had mine I had to have it on a different circuit or it would trip the breaker when it turned on.

No chiller here, but my largest spike has been 5.9.
125 tank w/: 2 Tunze, ATB Skimmer, eheim return pump, 40w aquauv, sicce micro ATO pump, mj1200 feeding carbon/gfo, basic fuge light, Prestige Gamma Led w/4 t-5's

A third hp chiller will pull 7 amps when it's running. What size is yours? My 90 gallon tank uses 5 amps. But I run a halide and t5s.

It's a 1/4 up I started adding up all the wattage and it's making more sense the damn t-5 alone is 800 watts plus these redsea tanks have a build in closed loop system that has four sicce pumps that are drawing a lot of power also.

It sounds like a lot to me, but considering the equipment you're running - probably not.
