Apirl Meeting

 April Meeting!!
So we need to find a person willing to hold the April meeting, preferably on the 15th.

The Topic will be:
TBD

For those who have never hosted a meeting. Your only responsibility would be to open your home, car dealership(some of you know what I mean) to club members, on Sat or Sun and you choose the time. You can provide whatever refreshments you choose to. I have seen it be as simple as snacks to 3 course meals. You do not have to get the speaker or the topic. You also do not have to have a large home.

Sorry but Ill be out of town during that time or I would volunteer. I don't think many people would make the trip out to Tipton County anyway.

You might be surprised. I travel from Hardeman county and some people come from Jackson and further. If / when you decide to have one we will show up.

Yes it was supposed to be the April 19th.

Or whatever other day you could. Generally meetings are on the 3rd weekend of each month.

We have discussed having a meeting and inviting families at the zoo and having a cookout/picnic with a behind the scenes tour of the aquarium there. Maybe April needs to be the month.

I think the Zoo would be a great idea, we could do like we do at work, have a potluck if that would be easier or skip food for the club and just get the tour.

The Zoo does sound like a good idea. You might be "surprised" at the interest that might come from that as a meeting spot.

Did we ever decide if the meeting is going to be at the zoo? If so, what time frame are we looking at?

We have not heard back about the possiable zoo trip yet. We need to still find a host/hostess in case teh zoo falss through.

In case the zoo falls through, is there any restraunt in Mphs with a nice saltwater tank where we could hold the meeting? Also, Randall at the Dive Shop on Yates offered at one time to let us hold a meeting there. You might check with him. He had a little nano the last time I was there. Several members are divers, as well. I am sure someone would have to bring food and drinks to the meeting. Just a thought.

Red Lobster has a tank and you get to pick out your favorite invert. :D
It has been a while since I've gotten to look at dive gear, so that would be fine too. This year I hope to get a few dives in if my brother gets his certification.

Lee kans in Collierville has a great tank and a meeting room. If we made the time earlier in the day it may work maybe 3pm. He also has one in cordova that has several tanks. Not sure of the space. I know that one is really busy during the evening hours. Let me kknow if I need to check space on the one here in Collierville.

We were always going to be the fall back person if there was a month that did not get a host/hostess, but this month has been a big financial draw on us and are not in the position to do the meeting.

So with the ideas that have been posted on locations to hold the meetings; Dive Shop & Lee Kans in Collierville; is the question people don’t feel they have the space in their home to hold everyone or is it a problem with providing food & drinks?

With these two locations can anyone take over holding the April meeting?
