:eek1: WOW :eek1:

Now those are some beautiful fish Rogger! Why did I think that almost all of those weren't reef safe (butterflies, angels, triggers)??? I think I might have to revisit my livestock list....

Jon in the most part all those fishes are not reefsafe, these particular species are "the most reef safe" but nothing is guaranteed. So far it has been good.

Rogger, I'm glad to see your tank is healthy and happy again. Gasman, the angelita is beautiful. Mazel Tov to both of you!

not easy to take pics of him, still flash shy, but here is one that you can see the dif in their noses.

My goldflake was great in my reef........for about a month.

Then he decided he liked favias and branching montiporas. Left everything else alone.

He is now in a nice 125 gallon tank with lots of live rock and softies.

Dave, I am pretty sure that he is an Acanthurus thompsoni (non hawaiian) probably from Africa, the hawaiian species only have a lighter color tail, yours appear to be one even color.

i was reading and i think it is the oppositte, the hawaiians are one uniform color and the africans have the light colored tail.

Thanks Rogger, Acanthurus thompsoni is the closest thing i have seen so far. Appreciate the help.

Sorry GasMan, did not mean to hijack.

You might be right, I know is one or the other, it is possible that I have it backwards in my head :D
