Hello there. I'm hoping someone here will have an easy answer for me. I'd like to coat an old metal fire pit pan with something that will make the water it holds safe for bees to drink. My wife just started a hive and we need a water source. I'd like to repurpose the pit pan if possible. I thought there might be an aquarium solution that I could adopt to coat this metal.

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance. ZB!

There's also a waterproofing paint, kind of gray and gritty, that let us line an old inbuilt planter under a skylight to turn it into a fish pond.

something like Plastidip should work too... basically anything that has the proper drying time and prep work should be fine
