April Meeting - 04/22/06 - Atlantis Aquariums

The NFMAS April Meeting will be held on Saturday April 22, 2006, from 5:00-8:00 PM at Atlantis Aquariums - 11270 Beach Blvd - 904-620-8700

The guest speaker will be Russell from Ocean's Blend. Some of the raffle prizes will include a grand prize of a 16 gallon Streamline Combo, as well as store gift certificates from Atlantis Aquariums and a couple of Reef Rewards Gold Cards.
So far this year the meetings have had a record attendance level and I hope that NFMAS continues to grow. Be sure to mark it on you calendar and attend the April meeting.

Topics of discussion for the April meeting will include -

• Volunteer needed as a meeting speaker
• Volunteer needed for organizing future meetings
• New food and drink policy for the meetings and a volunteer to manage this
• New informational NFMAS cards

Please remember everyone that NFMAS is an organization built upon the voluntary efforts of the members. If you have wanted to contribute to NFMAS then now is your chance to do so and help keep NFMAS moving in a forward direction.

Well I appreciate it everyone, but I will be out of town the weekend of the May meeting and will be unable to attend the July meeting because of a big family event on the same weekend. So a volunteer will still be needed to handle the next few meetings.

I can do the new information cards. I just have to modify the ones I did for Mike a few months ago. PM me with what info we need/want on the card.

I probably won't be at the April meeting though since it falls close to my anniversary and will probably be out with the wife that evening. I may be able to swing by and drop off the cards though.

Question, On the name tags, are you going to have persons name along with R/C name?

That sounds good Ed. ScubaTC has some really good ideas for the new cards as well. I was hoping to go over everything at the meeting to get some feedback from everyone. I want to hold off on printing any cards until the nfmas domain name issue gets resolved. I think that the cards should just contain the basic info like meeting info, web address, contact info, RC forum address, etc.

Mike usually brought the name tags, so I'll have to go and get some for the meeting if I don't forget. Most people will include both their RC username as well as their real name.
