i just noticed this tonight, it is about as big as a quarter, its arms look like white christmas trees, and it pulls one in at a time and stuffs it in its center hole, then pulls it back out and reinflates it. kindof reminds me of aptasia, just wondered what it is? it's pretty cool looking...which means its probably not good.

its about the size of aptasia, similar looking center and instead of arms it has little white xmas tree looking arms. weird how it pulls each one in and stuffs it in its center hole then pulls it out and reinflates them. i guess it's feeding.

Pic is blurry. Could it be a feather duster? I had one on my LR when I got it. I think it's still there somewhere.

My guess is some type of worm with a crown but not a typical feather duster. Almost looks like a filter feeding cucumber.

Not aiptasia.

Its got about 12 Xmas tree arms, cool watching it stuff one at a time in its hole then pull it out and it reinflates. Looks like its mounted itself on the side of a rock near the sand level.

I would go with the Sea Cucumber also. Definately not Aptaisia. I have seen these things around before. I don't recall them being harmful but it's possible that it may be toxic if it's stressed or dying. Being that size I can't see it doing much harm. He will probably make a good CUC member as long as he has enough to eat...
