Aqua C EV 180 issue

I have an Aqua C EV180 skimmer. It performs great for my 90 gallon. I was just looking at it and noticed that there is a gap in the seal on the lid of the colleciton cup. The rubber o-ring is in place and in good condition. Like I said it performs great. I just wonder why there is a gap and will it present problems between it and my 5 liter Aqua C waste collector? How do I close the gap?

Hi Gerald.... Does it look like the lid to the cup has warped at all, not letting it set flat onto the cup to form a seal?
