Aqua Controller II , and Aqua Surf

Sorry, no; the minimum hardware is an AC3 with updated firmware.

I don't know if Neptune has plans to back-port (if the controller can handle it); maybe Curt will chime in...
 
Yea, but I bet you can pick up an AC3 for a song and it will work with the existing X10 stuff your'e using on the AC2

I don't know about a song , but I bet better than what they went for new . I don't have much money , so it would have to be a very good deal . I just picked up two 6100s , with mag mounts , for a good price . The only problem is there isn't any controller . A good friend has an Aquasurf , he was going to let me have , for a good price . I have had the AC II for years , and it still workes just fine .
 
I guess Curt , doesn't have anything to add . So I guess if you bought a Neptune Systems Aqua Controller II , you can't up date that unit .

Russ , I'm sorry if I came across in a bad way , but I had problems with my AC II when I bought it new . I called for support , and I was treated like crap . I was having a problem with programing my unit . I was told then if I couldn't understand the instruction manual , I shouldn't of bought the unit . Nice CS .
 
BTW , I should mention the problem turned out to be a defective X-10 sending unit , I received with my AC II .
 
reefrubble I am 99% sure they have no plans for up dates to the ACII, as it was discontinued years ago. Also it may not have enoug space for the program controling the Aqua Surf. I had a problem with mt ACII recently and Curt was more then happy to assist me, even though they technically no longer suport it.
 
laverda, I thank you for your input . I don't want to start a war here , I just wanted to know if the Aquasurf could be used with my AC II . I never would have made any statements , about any problems I had with Neptune Systems in the past , but Russ's reply just hit me wrong . I don't have any problem with Russ as well . I don't even know him . I will just have to find another way to control my streams .
 
I didn't mean to sound harsh... simply meant that it's the weekend, and even small business owners need some downtime. I should refrain from posting anything first thing in the morning before the brain functions dealing with tact & careful phrasing are properly stimulated with ample quantities of coffee.;)

I'm sorry , that wasn't directed at you . I was just stating why I vented like I did , and I had no intention of starting a war .

I don't have a lot of money , so when I buy an expensive piece of equipment , I would like to be able to upgrade it , with out having to buy an entire new unit .
