Aqua-Medic T-3000 Blue

Just purchased the Aqua-medic T-3000 Blue.

Very huge in size even though only 23 inches tall. Nervous there may be a small leak inside but working with Aqua-Medic to get some information. The thing is really well made of acrylic and the 900 g/hr pump draws half of any similar pump for that size 65 watts.
It was setup just last night ORP dropped very little considering the thing was not foaming but looked like it was just about to start this morning on my way out the door.
Large removable venturi that unscrews for any service/ cleaning etc.
The waste cup is so huge, can't imagine any need to remove the drain off screw(s)...

Aquacave packed it really great for such a large box to ship.

Well, the skimmer took from monday evening to friday morning to break in. The longest I have had. Total concentrated goo coming out.
The leak, it is small(if a leak?) and Aqua-Medic had me send pictures. No replay so far. After buying a t-1000, t-1000multi, 5000 shorty.
Not too happy if they don't address such an expensive skimmer that is brand new. Will be glad to fix myself with info from them on glue needed or re-seating the pipe. hard to see what's in there.
Will update on results or Lack of results whichever is te case.

Aqua-Medic asked me to e-mail them the receipt for the skimmer and are hopefully planning on swapping the skimmer body out.
Asked them to please check before shipping for any leaks...

So far so good.

Aqua-Medic is shipping the replacment body out(Thanks Jason and Co., Aqua-Cave(albert)). They have been real busy and that is why this has been a long fix. I can say even with the small leak this model is a force the be reckoned with. ORP just keeps climbing with no ozone. Up to around 400 in the morning about 25 points higher than all my previous skimmers. And I have had a lot just ask....

Took some real Hi-Res shots of the most concentrated dehydrated goo and the unit is just amazing. Can e-mail if anyone wants to see them. This is an expensive unit but huge in performance and actually a large skimmer anyway size wise. Not too tall but very wide.

Saga ends....

Saga ends....

Aqua-Medic shipped out the replacment body WITHOUT me having to send the unit back first! As I had no skimmer to fall back on at this time.
Even though this was a drag, it is why I support Aqua-Medic not to mention their tireless efforts in designs that cannot be beat power to power utilization/performance(another words "state of the art").
The only monster I know of that pumps over 900gal/hr at 65watts and secretes almost a syrup in such high concentrate.
Way to go!
